Quebrada De Humahuaca
We leave S. S. de Jujuy and go to the north by Nat Route nº 9 (Pan American Route). Starting from 1250 m.a.s.l. our first stop is in theTUMBAYA main park and Church. Then, we go to PURMAMARCA where we can enjoy the Seven Colours Hill, the Colorados Path, the Craftsman Park, the Church adn its quaint streets.
We go on to the north. We take some photos of the Yacoraite Volcano and the Los Amarillos Mountain Range. At HUMAHUACAwe receive the blessing of San Francisco. We ascend to theIndependence Heros Monument, we visit the Church and the typical sourronded streets.
We have lunch with a folklore show (optional). In the evening during the return we stop in the UQUIA Church, with a golden altar and Arcabuceros Angels Cusqueños Pictures. We visit a ceramic craftsman and a vicuna reserve. We take photos in the Tropic of Capricorn at HUACALERA and at TILCARA.
We travel all around the Pucara Ruins, the Archeology Museum, the Craftsman Park and the Church.
The last stop is the photography to the palette painter in MAIMARA within its Cemetery.
Travel to La Quebrada is to discover a landscape of colourful mountains with a geological history of 600 millions years joined to 12.000 years of human settlement. Pre-Hispanic cave arts, pottery, etc. as well as mystics believes like mother earth and others kept from generation to generation also archaeological sites and museums that help us understand this Andean way of life.
